Youssef Mkaddem

I'm a software engineer at Keyence, where I build robust, high-performance systems since October 2023. I studied Computer Science at TU Darmstadt, one of Germany's leading technical universities.

Outside of engineering, I've dedicated years to competitive Taekwondo — representing TU Darmstadt at the highest university-level competition in Europe and returning home with a bronze medal.

I'm driven by the same discipline I developed on the mat: precision, resilience, and a constant push to improve. When I'm not coding or training, I'm most likely somewhere new — I've explored 33 countries so far and counting.

Travel is how I stay curious. Every new country reshapes how I think — about people, systems, design, and culture. From Europe's old capitals to Southeast Asia's cities to the deserts of the Middle East and the coasts of North Africa, the world is too interesting to stay in one place.

The number keeps growing. Each trip adds a new perspective — and usually a new list of places to go back to.
